New 2GIG Go Control LTE Solution

With the release of the 2GIG LTE radio, MONI will be phasing out 3G and CMDA radios for the 2GIG Go Control 2 panel. Effective April 1, 2017 MONI will require LTE radios on all 2GIG Go Control accounts submitted for funding.  Alarm system radios utilizing LTE technology is increasingly becoming the industry standard.  The release of the Alarm.com compatible LTE radio for the 2GIG Go Control 2 provides both data and two-way voice over Verizon’s LTE Network.  Installing the latest LTE cellular technology helps to proof future customers from the phase out of older cellular networks.

Coverage can never be 100% guaranteed, but Verizon has aggressively rolled out the largest domestic LTE Network for both voice and data.  Please use the link below to check coverage in your area:  http://vzwmap.verizonwireless.com/dotcom/coveragelocator

  • New Part # 2GIG-LTEV-A-GC2
  • Requires GC2 Firmware v1.17 or newer
  • Only compatible in the continental US

The support of the new 2GIG radio is part of our commitment to partnerships that provide best-in-class services.  We will keep you posted as other new LTE solutions become available.  As manufacturers begin developing compatible LTE radios, we will no longer fund accounts using 3G technology when LTE is available from the same manufacturer.
