How to Incentivize your Sales Team for Success

A motivated sales team confidently enters the field with goals in mind to generate revenue. A great way to encourage better performance is through incentive programs, which can measure sales performance through friendly competitions with recognition and rewards. A variety of incentive programs will generate an increase in individual and group performance to meet goal after goal.

Top Sales Reps

Who are the top sales representatives in your company? After identifying them, make a point to reward them to show your appreciation and incentivize other salespeople to work harder towards their goals. An example of an effective visual incentive is a dashboard to display sales of the week, month and quarter. Reward top sales representatives with tickets to sporting events, exclusive dinner invitations or monetary gift cards along with recognition through a company-wide communication.

Team Competitions

Group contests, inspired by sport competitions such as March Madness and Fantasy Football, are competitive programs to track collective sales team performance on a group level. Group competitions influenced by sport events evoke the importance of teamwork to achieve company sales goals. Team incentives may include trophies, all-expenses paid trips or company retreats.

Elite New Sales

After grueling rounds of recruiting and interviews, new sales representatives often attend multiple training classes before selling in the field. To encourage hard work right from the start, establish a challenge for new sales representatives to gain the highest number of customers within their first 90 days of on-boarding. Outstanding new sales representative incentive programs include tech giveaways, such as tablets to replace pen and paper in the field, or marketing merchandise to assist additional sales in the future.

Sales representatives are the foundation of a local home security company's success. Likewise, Monitronics Authorized Dealers build their own businesses while contributing to Monitronics' success as one of the leading home security alarm monitoring companies.

Monitronics Authorized Dealers have access to top-of-the-line equipment, award-winning monitoring services, funding benefits and superior training. Additionally, Monitronics incentivizes authorized dealers with reward programs, including Elite Advantage, MFL, Moni1Klub, MoniL, Premier Service Providers and Hero Awards.
